We are the North American Ford Fordson Ferguson Collectors Association and we are based in central PA.
Our club was established in 2001 and now have 160 members. We have four meetings per year and send out four newsletters each year. Our yearly dues are $10 for individual members and $12 for family membership.
Twice a year, we enjoy showing our tractors at Penns Cave in Centre Hall, PA (near Penn State University), at the spring and fall Nittany Antique Assoc. shows. We also get invited by various clubs to represent Ford when they are the featured tractor.
In 2010, we hosted the National Ford Fordson club's show at the Penns Cave Fall show. Our show boasted of 252 Ford, Fordson, Ferguson tractors and equipment and now hold the record for the most F,F,F essembled at one place.
HISTORY OF THE NAFFFCA
Bill Hoy's Dream of having a Local Ford Tractor Club in central Pa. came about with the help of Karl Strong and Lee (Bud) Smeltzer, the North American Ford, Fordson, Fergusion Collectors Association was established in 2001. A little about each of these 3 men, the founders of the North American Ford, Fordson, Fergusion Collectors Association.
Bill Hoy had a down to earth style to communicate with people and he would make others feel special and good about themselves. After being greeting by Bill Hoy, Each person believed that he had brought the nicest and best tractor to the show. Because of Bill's since of humor and his stories, everyone forgot their troubles and was able to enjoy their tractors and the shows, as much as he did. Even though Karl Strong loved his Allis Chalmers, he knew of Bill Hoy desire to form a local Ford Tractor Club, and he wanted to help his friend fulfill his dreams. Karl enjoyed showing his tractors, but the thing he enjoyed most was meeting and talking with all his many friends that he made over the 20 plus years from going to many different shows. Bud Smeltzer when approached by Bill Hoy and Karl Strong about forming a local Ford Tractor Cub, he thought it was a good idea. Because Bud was a very private man, he did a lot for the club without drawing attention to himself. One thing bud did enjoy was taking his tractors to the shows with his cousin and best friend, Dick Smeltzer.
